Gucci Bowl

After a close first half, the Coogs lost to crosstown rival Churchill Chargers 35-14. Clark had two first half TDs, the first from junior QB Chris Rollins the second from senior QB Trenton Ford. Both extra points were kicked by senior Tristan Cavazos. Clark debuted a strong passing game, passing for a total of 139 yards to Dusuau, Dudney, Young, Enderlin, Bloom, and Miller.

Choy Scholar/Athlete of the Week

Clark senior and cross country team member Kevin Choy was recognized during the televised halftime show at the Gucci Bowl tonight as one of two KABB/WOAI Scholar/Athletes of the week.  Ranked first in his class, Choy is a Senior Class officer and avid Latin competitor.

V-Ball wins!

Clark Cougars tamed the Marshall Rams in three! 26-24, 25-23, 25-21. Very close sets and exciting volleys! Jasmin Sneed led with 13 kills.

COUGAR PERSISTENCE PAYS OFF FOR JOSEPHS

Congratulations to 2012 Cougar Carter Josephs, whose has the early feel-good story for the 2015 season.  The Vanderbilt junior was awarded a full ride after playing two years as a walk on at the SEC school.  Carter, whose brother Nathan plays for Clark as a senior, was recognized in part because of his hard work and selflessness as a Commodore.

First XCountry Meet

xcountryboys1 xcountrygirls2Despite the terrible heat and lack of shade, Clark runners put out great hustle and solid effort at Saturday’s Boerne Champion cross country meet. The palpable excitement overcame first meet jitters as the runners talked and relaxed on the early morning bus ride, and carried everyone through, turning out great times.

Best Ever Finish

Clark varsity tennis had their best finish ever in the NISD Gold tournament, capturing fourth place at Northside Tennis Center today. The Coogs lost to New Braunfels in the morning, then lost a close one to Houston’s Seven Lakes in the race for third place.

Day of Victories for Tennis

RickyVarsity tennis racked up two victories in the first day of the NISD Gold Tournament, defeating SA’s Churchill and Houston’s Cypress Ranch.  The tournament continues tomorrow at the Northside Tennis Complex as Clark meets one of its most formidable foes, perennial state champion New Braunfels.

Volleyball Beats Churchill

In a five game match, the final game a 16-14 nail biter, the Cougars beat last year’s state contender Churchill Chargers.
