BASEBALL EXTENDS DISTRICT LEAD

by on Apr.12, 2011, under Baseball

The Cougars defeated Warren on Tuesday, 15-5, in 5 innings of play.  On the mound for the Cougars was Ryan Skowronski who pitched a complete game for the win.  Clark bats continued to crack with 15 hits for the game.  Braden Mattson went 4-4, with 2 singles, a double and a home run.  Jason Cervantes, Matt Cohen, Chris Werland and Robert Martin each contributed 2 hits and Hunter McFall, Chad Dullnig, John Henderson & Tyler Reinagel each had 1 hit.  Clark remains in first place in District play and with O’Connor’s loss to Brandeis tonight, Clark has a 2 game lead over O’Connor coming into the final 3 games of the season.  Next up for the Cougars is Stevens, this Thursday, April 14th at 7:30pm at NS # 1.  This is a big game for the baseball team as they suffered their only district loss to Stevens earlier this season.  Come cheer the boys as they continue their run on District!
