The Clark boys team plays Fort Bend Marshall Saturday in the championship game of the Bronze Bracket of the McDonald’s Texas Invitational in Pasadena. The Cougars lost the first two games of the tournament to Spring DeKaney, 66-50, and Duncanville by a closer 59-55. They pushed back with wins over Pearland, 35-34 and Humble, 57-49.  Jacob Palacios is leading the team in scoring with an average of 12.2 points per game, while Adam Perez is averaging 9.2 and Niko Maxwell 7.8. Those averages also include the first game of the season against Roosevelt.

The Clark girls experienced their own resurgence, unleashing a scoring barrage against McCollum in the Judson Tournament on Friday. The Cougars won 75-17. Donna Matthews had 18 points in the win, Kristen Lye added 12, and Hannah Gulley had 11. Clark continues tournament play Saturday.
