The Clark boys basketball team remains in first place in District 27-5A riding a 5 game win streak with recent victories over Holmes, O’Connor and Taft and December wins over Stevens and non district foe New Braunfels. The Cougars are tied with Brandeis for the top spot in district, both teams have a 6-1 record. Clark defeated Stevens 46-39, New Braunfels 60-47, ¬†Holmes 52-34, beat O’Connor 53-42 and Taft 62-54. Senior guard Adam Perez leads the team in scoring, averaging 20 points a game through the current win streak.

Clark is ranked 5th in the Express News San Antonio area rankings and 25th in the state according to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches.

Next up is Marshall on Friday at 6:30 at Paul Taylor and get ready for a showdown with Brandeis next Tuesday!
