COUGARS WIN AGAIN IN BASEBALL

by on Mar.05, 2011, under Baseball

Clark Cougar baseball beat Taft 5-4 in the first game of today’s championship round at the NEISD Tournament. Chad Dullnig (Jr) took the mound for the Cougars and threw 4 2/3 innings – giving up only 2 hits. Timely clutch hitting by Braden Mattson and Chad Dullnig scored 2 runs, sacrifices by Dullnig and Jason Cervantes (Sr) scored another 2, and Dullnig’s final plate appearance scored the final and winning run of the game. Once again, Cougar defense shined – with critical plays being made in the field to keep the game close & secure the win. The Cougars will face either Austin Bowie or Churchill Chargers in the Tournament Championship Game at 4:15pm at Blossom Athletic Center today. Come out to support your Clark Cougar Baseball team!
