Clark boys soccer notched another district win on Tuesday, beating Marshall 4-0. Goals came from the feet of Jair Rodriguez, Vinnie Guerrero and Yamil Alvarado who had two – Carlos Sepulveda had two assists. This follows a weekend of tournament play in Boerne’s Hill Country Shoot Out where they beat Lee and Boerne Champion and tied last year’s State Semifinalist Brownsville Porter in a 3-3 scorefest and Austin’s St Stephens 1-1.

The Clark boys are now 7-0-2, ranked second in the San Antonio area and now recognized nationally with a fresh appearance in the ESPN Fab 50 High School rankings at #50 – the only San Antonio school in the rankings.

The Clark girls continue to play tough, battling Marshall to a 2-2 tie on Tuesday. Cougar goals came from Alyssa Jacobs and Briana Saldana with an assist from Blair Socha. District play continues at noon on Saturday with a Farris stadium showdown against Brandeis – the boys game follows at 2:00.
